2. Where are your products from?

Our products come from various markets around Japan. They come mainly from the Tsukiji Market, the Osaka Fish Market, the Kyushu Fish Market, Hokkaido and basically many other locations that our suppliers are based at.

3. Are your products fresh?

We are confident that our products are fresh. We have and currently enjoyed a successful partnership over the years with our Japanese counterparts and are on very close terms with them. Our products are currently used in various Japanese restaurants in Singapore and it is our desire that consumers and cooks at home can enjoy the same products from the comfort of their homes. As we aim to build long lasting partnerships and bring the joys of quality Japanese fishes and cuisine to your tables, do contact us if you are dissatisfied in any way and we will do our best to make It right.

4. How do you handle your products?

Our products are all taken care of and processed via our suppliers in Japan. The fishes are all fresh and have gone through the proper sterilizing methods and are safe to consume.

6. Do I pay in full?

Yes we will require you to pay in full after placing your order before we order with our Japan suppliers.

7. How protected and transparent is the shopping experience?

As we are powered by Shopify, you can have an ease of mind as not only is Shopify certified Level 1 PCI Compliant, this compliance extends to all online stores powered by Shopify. This means that if you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card data. It is then encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. 


All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. 
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Also, our credit card payment gateways will be done through Paypal. Paypal is the most popular and safest payment gateway.

8. How do I place an order?

The process of placing an order is simple!

First, select the items that have caught your attention and got you salivating

Next, add them into your cart

After that has been done, you may go into your cart to do a final confirmation

Then, you can check out your cart, make payment.

Our staff will contact you to let you choose a delivery timing.

Finally, all that’s left is for you to start thinking about what/how you’re going to consume our yummy produce :D

9. How does placing an order work?

Once your order is placed and payment is made, we will send you an invoice and confirmation of the delivery timing you have selected.

10. What are my Payment options/modes?

Payment options are via Local Bank Transfer(Preferred) or via Paypal using your credit card.

Do note that you do not have to create a Paypal account to use Paypal. We're just putting this out there in case you guys are having second thoughts because, well.. lazy.

12. Where does Soshinsen deliver to?

We deliver to anywhere in Singapore, right to your doorstep so you need not brave the incredible heat just to get your hands on some lovely products

13. What are your delivery timings?

Monday to Fridays: Slot 1 (3pm-5pm), Slot 2 (6pm-8pm)

Saturdays: Slot 1 (11am-1pm), Slot 2(3pm-5pm)

Alternatively, if you are unable to make these delivery timeslots, do contact us to arrange an alternative.

14. How often do you deliver?

We deliver from Mondays to Saturdays and we will guide you on how to store the fishes upon delivery.

15. What is the minimum order for free delivery?

We offer free deliveries for orders above $100. However, should your order be unable to hit $100, there will be a delivery fee of $15.

16. If I am not home, can you leave it with my security guard?

Unfortunately, we will not leave it with your security guard or any concierge counters due to our products requiring the appropriate storing conditions.

Also, would you dare consume an unrefrigerated product that has been sitting in your security guard’s office for the past couple of hours? We would not for sure.

17. What happens if I am unable to make the available delivery time slots?

Do contact us if you are unable to make the delivery time slots. We will do our best to accommodate you and keep that smile on your face.

18. What happens if I am not home?

We would appreciate it if you could be home or have someone collect it on your behalf during the delivery time slots. The reason being that the freshness and quality of the product will definitely take a hit if it has to spend additional unnecessary time outside of the ideal storage conditions.

Do note that we reserve the right to re-charge you for the failed delivery.

19. How many days in advance do I have to order by?

As our products are flown in fresh, twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, we require a lead time of 3 days.

This means that for a Tuesday shipment, we require the order to be in and processed by Friday. For a Friday shipment, we require the order to be in and processed by Monday.

20. Can I do self-collection?

Unfortunately, we do not have a self-collection point now but we have a location coming soon!

21. How will be order be packed and handled?

Your order will be packed and taken out of our storage facility and sent out immediately in chiller boxes with plenty of ice to ensure that the ideal storage temperature is met.

Your order will be held in the delivery process for a maximum of 2 hours.
